Galactic Grace

from $305.00

Another location within New Zealand that is just swarmed with tourists and photographers and rightly so. The Church of the Good Shepherd truly is amazing and a site to see. Being at this spot with a tour, a few photographers and myself definitely wanted to head back for the night sky in hopes of capturing the milky way galaxy. At sunset we scouted the location and found the position we wanted. When we headed back, unfortunately the place was already surrounded by photographers and many had to find a new position to photograph the Church. I luckily found some space not far from where I had originally planned and once I had set up my camera, the position worked perfectly for what I was after. Not only did the Galaxy bless us with a show but a hint of the Southern Aurora lights blessed us with a show also. This is by far one of my favourite images of all time and what an achievement to finally capture my first image of the Milky Way Galaxy.
