Fjord's Retreat

from $230.00

Heading down from Harstad to Reine in the Lofoten Islands was somewhat a stressful one. Being a 4.5hr drive, I found out that I had forgotten my camera filters in the tour bus I was on days prior and I was hoping to check into my accomodation and make the sunset shot. Luckily the tour driver held onto my filters and lived in Lofoten Islands, along my route. I managed to meet up with the gentlemen and get my filters back and I could not thank him for his kindness and professionalism and I straight away a massive weight was lifted off my shoulders. The journey continued and I managed to check in and head out for sunset with 30 minutes to go. The location I had planned was filled with tourists and there was no parking remaining so I quickly headed back and journeyed up the hill above the accomodation and found this nice little clearing that had a view that blew my mind. I knew instantly a panorama would do this location justice and I decided to incorporate the ground on the bottom corners as it gives me a feeling of realism from where one would be standing and just take in every moment possible.
