It was about a 15 minute helicopter ride to Hardy Reef in the Great Barrier Reef from Hill Inlet (Whitsundays) and so I had time to get my camera settings adjusted, but what I couldn’t believe was how looking down on the ocean would blow my mind. Flying over the ocean you can see just how rough it is, yet when entering Hardy Reef it just seems the current stops the Reef has a protected barrier. It went from dark blue to bright baby blue colours with the reef being mostly calm from wind at the beginning. I could not believe what I was seeing and still feels like a dream. The pilot first flew over the famous Heart Reef and it would be unjust not to capture this amazing natural heart shaped reef and share with you all :)
