Sometimes the location you first initially want to photograph doesn’t work out, as the weather is constantly changing and while I was along the peninsula the location I wanted to photograph the tide was still just too high for what I was wanting and the clouds were just drifting away fast. I quickly picked up and drove from the back beaches of Rye to Portsea and found this pier and the sky just started to light up so beautifully. being in summer, the amount of boats that were docked really helped set the mood for this photo and bring home the essence of the peninsula
