Tessellation

On the way to Port Arthur, Tasmania there is a location among the coast called tessellation rocks. Visiting the area the night before the image was taken, the tide was high and it was difficult to see the entire section. It was really cool though as the way the rocks have formed with the square shaped patterns was so interesting and the way the water gets trapped in each section reflected perfectly against the sky. The next morning for sunrise the tide was lower and I was able to walk among the rocks a lot easier and I found a really interesting pattern that just lead straight out to the scene exactly where the sun was about to rise. I got the camera right down as low as I could and I focused stacked the image and amazingly enough the sun perfectly aligned in-between a break within the trees and it created the perfect sun burst.
