As it took me 3 days to finally capture the image titled Palm by the Beach, I had to try a 4th day also and by damn did it pay off! I loved this composition so much that offering 2 versions just made sense to me. On the 4th day I woke up for sunrise and went straight to the spot the previous day. I had marked exactly where I took the photo and I moved slightly to the left to frame the palm tree in the middle of the 2 landmarks off in the distance. I shot throughout sunrise for about 45 minutes and found that as soon as the sun broke through the clouds was the shot I wanted to use. The warmth from the sun breaching the palm trees and the sand while also creating a slight silhouette just created such an amazing sense of peace and serenity a tropical location offers.
