Being on a Photography Tour at the time, a few from the group wanted to wake up early to try and capture some galaxy shots before the sunrise. I joined them as I was excited to, but a 4am wake up call had me second guessing. By all means am I glad to have gotten up at 4am and headed down with them as not only did the night sky put on a show, but the waning crescent moon of the moon helped illuminate the lake which was calm and serene. I found a composition I loved combining all factors and even with certain elements not being perfect, from the harsh light amongst the trees in the background to the town’s lights affecting the bottom end of the milky way galaxy, this shot still works in so many ways and could not be more perfect in my eyes.
