After getting up at 4am to capture the galaxy, the sheer number of photographers that showed up to capture the sunrise was astounding. I stayed right through sunrise and we were all blessed with the suns warmth, that capturing a single shot just did not feel right. I wanted to capture a panorama and to do so with what I was aiming meant that I would stand in the lake, which is what I did. Luckily being one of the first ones there, I was able to position myself in a great spot. Nothing sums up the town of Wanaka like this blissful tree that really gives you a sense of peace and it was so amazing to see everyone sharing and respecting the location.
